I intend to model 2 props as I’m thinking towards what I would like to do as an animation. I’m inspired and infatuated with the artistic style and fluid motion shown in Soul Eater ( the anime of which I’m going to set this prop around). The props themselves are going to be the main character Soul “Eater” Evans and his secondary weapon form, a scythe. I’ll be spending the majority of my time modeling the human character I believe as the scythe is fairly simplistic, while the human form has lots of different textures, creases and distinct features I’ll need to work on, I’d also like the prop to have an organic feel to it, meaning positioning and stances will also be a difficult task to overcome. in addition to all this, I’ll also have to translate what is traditionally a 2d object into a 3d space.
The previous prop I started making (a Keyblade) was too simple for what the course wanted, and thus here we are doing this.
I’d like the animation to be the transformation process between human – and – scythe form, which will consist of the human form glowing a clear white, then shifting form in to a spinning scythe.
