3rd 3D modelling update.

So I’ve yet again decided to model a new prop. However this time I’ve chosen one that’s both difficult, yet manageable. Focusing mainly on the modelling side, while having a nice animation be my secondary concern.

In choosing a prop to model I wanted to select something that also reflects my personality but isn’t too cliche or obvious, my decision ultimately ended up being the pokemon forretress.

My reasoning behind this is because:

  • I like the pokemon
  • The design is simple whilst also challenging my skill with bumps and grooves
  • The animation process will test my ability to move numerous objects at once

I feel like this will be a fun prop to make, however creating the grooves whilst also them appear organic / weathered (basically making them appear natural) will be a fun task I’ve never had to do before.
